A good hall bench is not just a piece of material that you bump your toe on every now and then. It is a welcoming area and can serve as a focal point, especially in a long, dark hallway. The right hall bench is one that is narrow enough for easy passage by the people that must walk down the hall but wide enough to allow for comfortable sitting from time to time.
