Whether to serve as a cushion and bedspread holder at the foot of the bed or to contain family linens in a storage chest made of cedar, storage chests are useful and add a finishing touch to a room. They can also be used as indoor benches near the entrance and contain mittens, scarves and outdoor accessories. Storage chests can really add to a room’s furnishings – they don’t have to stay in the attic anymore. Be sure to know what you will put in it, as some woods’ natural oils can damage some linen. Cedar chests are recommended to protect linens and wools.
