Teak Wood Furniture Is In A Class Of Its Own

by guestpost on March 17, 2009

There are many fine woods that can be used for furniture – cedar, mahogany, redwood and many others. But few of them have the same feel to them as teak and that’s why teak wood furniture stands out at it does. Teak wood furniture is made from wood that grows in the rain forest and is saturated with natural oils to protect it from insect and environmental damage in those hot and humid conditions. This means that teak wood furniture has the innate ability to withstand the affect of rot and decay and is resistant to insect damage. Besides this, few woods age as well as teak which darken and develop a natural glow to it as it ages.
